Where to start about me... I was born in the deep south of the United States, Texas to be more precise. I was the largest baby on record until a baby born 5 pounds heavier came into the world two hours after me. Mom and I moved up to Fort Worth when I was one-two years old. We lived there til I was twelve years old. The October of my twelfth year was hard... having moved up to Idaho I left a lot behind. Years went by and my southern accent died off though according to some it comes out when least expected.
I graduated Lewiston Senior High in the grand year of 2006. I was actually looking into schooling back then in Devry University but had a major crisis...no job. Looking into the local market for a job I could transfer down to Nevada with I started with UPS. They wouldn't transfer me within the year though so I turned to retail and soon was hired on at Wal*mart. I learned from Wal*mart that customer service is key to keeping your job. Better the service better chances of staying hired in the retail setting. I worked there for only a year when I went stupid and quit. The summer months went by with no work and my home life getting worse everyday. I turned to Job Corps and came September 11, 2007 I was on my way to their Astoria, Oregon campus. I went in for office training and within eight months was complete and able to leave the campus. I discuss more about Job Corps on it's page.
Come fall 2008 I moved to Portland, Oregon to move in with a boy friend and look for stable work. I wanted to start schooling there for a message therapist. Years went by and no bites for employment. Getting depressed fights started breaking out with my partner and finally after the final stab of pain being dealt I moved out and back home.
Sitting back in Lewiston I searched for work. A year went by before out of luck a business hired me. The place was A&B foods.I only made it to my 90th day probation day when I got hurt on the job with a slipped disc injury to my lower back. With the fates throwing this into my face I lost my only job. Depression rained in and I started considering offing myself due to all the bad luck. Then from a suggestion that came from not only my physical therapist but my family was go back into school. That leads up to today.Today I am a student as WWCC getting a basic core degree then transfer on to a college where I can get a physical therapist doctrine or an assistant degree.
Update for year two and a repeat to the Learning Strat Class. Thus far a second year of college isn't near as nerve wrecking. The classes seem to blend in and the stress is more related to the outdoor portion of life. I am now employed as of Fall term and am a steady weekend employee in electronics. Stress Fall term seemed more related to having to rethink of study time and when I can claim a day to myself.
Update (2017):
I finally have checked back into this webpage after a short hiatus from weebly and figured it needs some updating. First and foremost I am going into my Junior term of college now at a different college. My major is now creative writing instead of a medical degree as first stated due to past medical injuries preventing me from performing the job. A lot has changed with no longer being part of the TRIO program or club. It is still good for students who need it but just be cautious with clubs and keeping your schedule for your classes in mind. This goes for all clubs. Time management is a key to succeeding in college and the higher the degree you are working towards the tighter your schedule will become. A good example would be me going from a mere five classes changing every other day to four classes but each class is anywhere between an hour to two being three hours long. Remember for every hour of class two hours for study? It is there for a reason because some classes require more attention to detail. I have now been in college for a grand total of five years give or take. My newest set goal in mind with the help of family and friends is to get my bachelor's in creative writing with two minors: Spanish and History. I am planning of becoming a writer until loans are paid then go back to school for education degree in History.
